Adam's House is a typical 3 x 1 family home in Brookdale, Western Australia.
There are chickens and a practical vegie patch in the backyard, and a well equipped kitchen and laundry.
Several bedrooms are available for accommodation options. All equipment is supplied by us.
Short Term and Medium Term Accommodation options are available at Adam's House.
Accommodation options are directly linked to your individual plans and goals and objectives.
Accommodation can also be accessed in conjunction with the daily independent living skills programs where required.
We charge an hourly rate in line with the NDIS community, social and recreation activities price guide.
Short Term and Medium Term Accommodation is charged in accordance with the NDIS pricing guide.
Participants must be self or plan managed to utilize NDIS funds at Adam's House.
We offer pick up and drop off services for our participants. Our aim is to provide these at times suitable for the participants and their families whenever possible. This service is charged in line with the NDIS community, social and recreation activities price guide.
One of our primary focus areas is to bring out our participants best ability and create confidence in the kitchen through basic cooking skills classes. This may require a small contribution from the participants as food purchases are not covered by NDIS. The contributions will be kept to an absolute minimum and participants will be eating their cooking on-site or taking it home.
We have a dedicated room for Therapists to spend time on site with their clients if necessary. We can work with Therapists in achieving participants goals and NDIS plans.
Support Coordinators and Therapists are welcome to view our home for potential and future participants.
Safety is important.
All potential participants must complete an application form and be sure to complete all medical requirements and dietary information.
An Enrolled Nurse (Tracey) will be on site at all times.
Adam is an awesome young man with Special Learning Needs.
Adam has lots of friends and loves to chat. He is the ultimate social butterfly. Adam is an NDIS Participant and is supported in is social and recreational pursuits.
Tracey and Jason, and these supports, continue to bring out his best ability.
We are proud and loving parents of five wonderful children. We have supported and developed their household skills for independent living. One of those, Adam, is an Adult with Special Learning Needs. Tracey is an Enrolled Nurse with disability services experience and a skilled homemaker. Jason is an experienced trainer and skilled homemaker.
